Travel & Visa
It is ‘mandatory’ to complete an e-visa application before flying into Tehran. It takes at least 48 hours to be approved, and then you print off the form and show this to the visa officer.
At the moment you can only apply for your Iran visa on arrival at the following international airports:
- Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport
- Tehran Mehrabad Airport
- Shiraz
- Esfahan
- Mashad
- Tabriz
You cannot apply for a visa on arrival at land borders, so if you’re planning on overlanding into Iran you’ll need to get your visa before visiting.

Entry restricted to trade-only visitors
Admission to the exhibition will be permitted by official invitation or relevant business cards only
All visitors must be in proper business / national attire
Government and ministry officials can provide a valid ID proof for entry to the exhibition
The visitor badge is non-transferable and you may be asked for proof of identification. Identity checks will be conducted throughout IRAN ROAD TECH 2016 as part of the entry procedure
The organizer reserves the right to refuse admission to any persons in the best interest of the exhibition without providing reasons or explanation
